Can't speak for anyone else but I was undecided until they started positioning Obama as the nice black candidate, like Jesse Jackson. I went to college in the south and I understand what that means, it's a cue to white voters to vote race. That disgusts me so much. That's when I decided to vote for Obama, and since then everything that's happened has only reinforced the correctness of that decision.

Re: I'm a California voter for Obama (Scripting News)

OK.

Why are so many pro-Obama voters anti-HRC? Between 2005 and present Obama and Clinton have voted the same on 94% of their votes, including renewing the PATRIOT act and funding the war.

Also, out of the three major candidates left, Obama has the worst senate attendance record (only voting 82% of the time)
http://www.davetufts.com/votes/

I too favor Obama if the only choices were Obama, HRC, McCain. Luckily, there are other candidates and other parties.

"One of the ways you control what people think is by creating the illusion that there's a debate going on, but making sure that that debate stays within very narrow margins."

Re: I'm a California voter for Obama (Scripting News)

The new HOT Soap Opera - Obamarama
I don't know if you watch soap operas. There is a new hot one going on now that is packed with entertainment. The main character is one Barak Obama. You won't find it on the channels that carry most soaps. You can see parts of it at various times on Fox News. Here is a summary of the past ten days or so.
Last Week - March 2 thru 8
National Enquirer for March 17 in grocery store - Obama's Secrets - Interesting stuff - friends with terrorist Bill Ayers who boasts that he participated in the bombings of the New York police headquarters, the Capitol building and the Pentagon in the early 1970s. Says he didn't do enough - might do more in the future. Then there was Obama's pastor at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago where Obama and his wife attended for 20 years, listening to harangues like the following: "The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people. God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme." This pastor Wright is a supporter of Louis Farakhan, and once took a trip to Tripoli with Farakhan.
Monday, March 10? - Scene - Hannity and Colms - Sean Hannity attempts to ask Al Sharpton about some of Obama's connections. Sharpton explodes with a stream of irrevelant nonsense that almost blew Hannity out of his chair. Hannity tries a few more times to get answers, to no avail.
Wednesday, March 12 - Just when it looks as if Obamas past is starting to catch up with him, two other Democrats take the heat off him, although inadvertently. Geraldine Ferraro makes statement that if Obama were white or a woman, he would never have got to where he is now. (She should know you can get in trouble these days for telling the truth.) Uproar in the media, mainly leftist. Ferraro resigns as Finance Chairperson of Hillary's campaign. Democratic governor Elliot Spitzer revealed to have spent 80 or 100 thousand dollars on prostitutes. Now with stories as juicy as that, who has time to listen to stuff about Obama, of which there will be more later on, anyway? You wonder if he thought to send to send thank-you notes to Ferraro and Spitzer for getting him out of the hot seat for the tine being - "You made my day!"
Thursday, May 13 - Another blurb from Jeremiah Wright plays out - he says Obama grew up just like Jesus, in a nation controlled by rich white people!
Well you get the drift - stay tuned for more interesting developments with these characters in the next installment of Obamarama.

Re: I'm a California voter for Obama (Scripting News)

Let's see -- Hillary's 15 point loss in Wisconsin showed her camp that negative campaigning worked better than non-negative in Virginia (where she lost by more) -- sounds like the old "We lose $ on each unit but we can make it up on the volume.: -- hmmmmm

Dave -- I'm following you (johnmac13) on Twitter and saw your comments

John F. It is easy to be a Starbucks Democrat , which involves mixing coffee and soy milk ! It take a lot more effort to express your preference publicly ! I am 71 years old and don't think I can tolerate another Political Party Like the current ,running my country to benefit big oil and the Saudi's ! I live in Michigan where autos and oil have created a state that is homeless and jobless ! I laugh when they discuss Obama has no experience ! It is time to forget political correctness and become Political !

Re: I'm a California voter for Obama (Scripting News)

Heres a webpage you might like:
http://www.peacedocs.com/Site/Arts_4_%7C_Video_...

Pass it on. Their catchphrases are each useful and important.

One of the few areas where Mitt Romney agrees. He's paraphrasing two or three Obama catchphrases in his most recent speeches.

-- stan

Re: I'm a California voter for Obama (Scripting News)

I agree. It is really simple, Obama represents progress to many Obama supporters. Hacking the original is like putting lipstick on the Mona Lisa, it's really not necessary.

Re: I'm a California voter for Obama (Scripting News)

Glad you endorsed. Stunning portrait.

I wonder why the designer chose "progress" as the tag line for the poster. That's not part of Obama's campaign lexicon. It's not on his official posters. He didn't use the word a single time in the Iowa speech or the South Carolina speech or even the keynote of the 2004 Democratic convention that brought him to national prominence. Obama words are "believe," "change," and "hope." "Progress" is a Salieri word. Not a Mozart word.

Re: I'm a California voter for Obama (Scripting News)

I see where you got the poster, but where did you get that virtual lawn sign?

Re: I'm a California voter for Obama (Scripting News)

I'm adding this it my Blog except I represent Virginia!

Re: I'm a California voter for Obama (Scripting News)

Great idea!
