Extraordinary and frightening.

I have a hard time buying the argument that the "liberal" media treated her unfairly. Katie Couric seemed respectful and asked her the sorts of questions that all candidates get asked, as far as I can see. The sign of a seasoned candidate is someone who can handle difficult questions with aplomb and a ready set of answers.

It seemed clear from the start that this women did not have the credentials to run for VP. The interview depressingly confirms this fact. She cannot string coherent sentences together and comes across as a lightweight - stammering, uncertain - anything but the strong leadership we so desparately need at this time. This problem goes beyond politics - even if I disagree with the views expressed by a politician, I would at least like to feel that the person is learned, wise, and strong. Sarah Palin displays none of these qualities. They say that ultimately no one votes based on the VP candidate. Sarah Palin could end up being an exception to the rule, especially given how it speaks of John McCain's decision-making. I see choosing Sarah Palin as a running mate as an unbelievably cynical/political move that should insult women and the right wing, in general. Was it impossible to find an individual to energize the Republican base who had stronger credentials? If so, we are in a very sorry state of affairs.

Try to find an actuary who would write a life insurance policy over four years for a 72-year-old man with four separate diagnoses of melanoma -- two at Stage Two. How much with Lloyds of London charge for a $1 million policy on that man's life? The odds are relatively high that if John McCain is elected president, he will die in office, leaving Sarah Palin in charge of the U.S. government. Country First? I think not.

I am a Republican who is desperately trying to come up with a logical reason to vote for McCain. However, after seeing this interview I can only hope that Obama can steer us through this mess that Bush has created.

I've got to admit, though, that after seeing Hillary day after day for the past year being the ultimate flerg, Palin is a welcomed site for sore eyes.

When asked what she meant when she said Alaska's proximity to Russia gives her foreign policy experience, all she does is give a definition of the word "proximity" . Lame.
Last night's interview was just as bad. She didn't answer any questions. She only responded in talking points.
At first, I didn't care if McCain or Obama won. Now I cannot bear the thought of the old ex-cancer patient McCain having this as his stand-in.

You have got to be F**** kidding me. PALIN YOU JUST PUT A GUN TO MY HEAD AND SAID "VOTE FOR OBAMA." This logic that since Alaska is close to Russia gives her foriegn policy experience is absolutely insane. What is more insane is that they actually refuse to step away from this assertion. I would be the last person to say that Obama is without flaws, but my god I think I would rather go with the Harvard grad than the hockey mom

Priceless. The prototypical beauty pageant contestant tripping all over her tongue when asked to name another continent. Poor girl, don't make her think hard about financial crisis or foreign affairs, it hurts her head. Actually, she's just plain scary. I see her as the air force pilot riding the a-bomb into Moscow a la Dr. Strangelove. Yeah, lets go to war with Russia to defend Georgia.

I certainly dont think Palin is a stupid woman. She has been put in an impossible situation and is doing the best she can.

What truely amazes me is the % of people who think that she is qualified. Talk about party loyalty!!

Anyone who listens to what little is available where Palin is forced to think on her feet and feels that she is VP material (or god forbid, P material) is not being rational.

She is probably a very good person who is far far out of her league.

And it says tons about John McCain.
