Geez, Dave. As I've said before, you're politics and mine often head out in different directions and then they surprise me when they circle back to end up in a similar place. I voted in the Democratic Primary in Tenn. yesterday (we have early voting) so I could vote for Obama. I've decided that in my lifetime, I will never again vote for a Bush or Clinton.

This is a very good thing! I was reading your twitter posts a couple of weeks back and was getting a little concerned. :-) The main problem with Hillary, I think, is she wouldn't do very well in the General Election. I have still yet to meet someone in person that supports her.

I have to agree that the Bush/Client Dynasty should be closed but I fear the Parties lack the will to promote anyone else!

Gosh. Voting in another Republican will cement the Supreme Court with a conservative majority that will demolish personal freedoms, condone state sponsored torture and illegal detention, and roll back reproductive freedoms.

Supporting Obama is a great idea, but this is no time for a protest vote.

I'd advise sending your stimulus checks to any political candidate. What a waste of that money.

I don't know that Bill's behavior necessarily negates the principle of having a first spouse actively involved in running the government. Then again, I'm not that big a fan of term limits, preferring that voters should have the option of turning the incumbents out when they please (and despairing of the fact that voters rarely do so).

Dude, you should seriously take some break from politics. Who do you think will be better than Hillary (if she is the democratic nominee and I also seriously hope she is not)? McCain? Romney? Rudy? Huckabee? Come on, all these guys are war mongers. Ron Paul? He is a racist left, right and center. I would rather fail to do my constitutional duty than vote republican. I seriously suggest that you take a break and go to an island where there is no internet or tv.

    Dave,
Obama's comment about "which Clinton" he was running against is so dead-on as to be frightening.

I am very concerned that the Dems don't have a platform to speak of and have allowed themselves to be extremely marginalized. The opposite of this would be the ghost of RFK-- a politician I intensely disliked because he was so expedient and hungry for power.

Thr one candidate I have contributed to and believe in is John Edwards. On the other hand the one person that I'm sorry to see not a candidate is Bob Kerrey who I admire and respect.

Excellent post on Hillary by the way.

Oh, contrary to what you mnay think about my politics because you know a little of my background, I am a lifelong Dem and have helped in registration drives in Oceanside near Camp Pendleton.

    Best wishes,

    Jim Forbes

yeah, but you'd have to prefer Bill being second in command over someone like Cheney for instance...
This is the problem with the Republicans... all their nominees are light-weights... if one of them gets elected... who will really be in control? how much will really change?
